I am a fan of ALL musical genres, but readily admit that ALL musical genres include a good deal of refuse not suitable for the ear of any true musical connoisseur. Originality is key to producing something worth listening to, no doubt. But a discernable passion for one's craft still speaks volumes in this day of "who's got talent" plastic, over-produced tripe for the masses, and is absolutely the defining factor in what separates the pre-packaged pop-sugar from those who are able to truly define and illustrate the range and depths of emotion that they experience in life, and let that shine through in the music they create. That's the reason beyond all others I'm extremely grateful for the possibilities afforded by an app such as MMJ. Sure, their loops are certainly "pre-packaged" goods, but the ability to interchange, overlay, and completely change the structure of the pre-recorded loops help so many aspiring musicians convey that range and depth of emotion that may have otherwise remained eternally untapped. Add to that the ability to also include one's personal lyrical or musical tracks and you absolutely have perhaps the single greatest personal musical tool afforded to aspiring musicians that we have yet to encounter. There is a flood of entertaining content being produced out there now. Honestly too much to keep up with. I await with reserved anticipation what these pioneers have in store for us next. I openly welcome any critique or feedback regarding the tracks I've created, and look forward as well to any opportunity for collaborations with other aspiring musicians/producers. Please feel free to contact me with any advice, input, or requests. And regardless of whatever else you may end up doing, always remember to do it excellently. Cheers!
